Israel’s Medical Cannabis Program – Comparative Analysis vs. Other Programs in Different Countries.

Presentation of Boaz Wachtel on Cannafest Prague 2014. The lecture is in the original version. Brief synopsis can be found in the description below.

The Israeli national Medical Cannabis program (as operated and run under the authority of the NationalMedical Cannabis Agency—YAKAR) is growing rapidly and maturing into a model which is in complete adherencewith the UN drug conventions that allow the use of a prohibited drugs for medical uses.

We will review the evolution and structure of the program, its various components (patients, doctors, media, education, decision makers, cost, growers, strains etc.) and compare it to existing national medical cannabisprograms in Canada, the Netherland and the new programs now being initiated in the Czech Republic and Uruguay. We will attempt to reach conclusions and lessons from each program and try and build an ideal, patient centered program that could be used and that could benefit patients in any country, which is planning to launch a national medical cannabis program.

Your are cordially invited to the annual conference at Cannafest,  the international trade fair of cannabis and medical herbs that will  take place on November 11-13, 2016 at the Prague Exhibition Holesovice.  The conference presentations will be simultaneously interpreted into  English and Czech.
