Shatter

Shatter looks similar to polished amber. It is exceptionally strong form of BHO, which is transparent, glossy, and smooth – its color can range from dark amber to honey or even absolutely colorless. Generally, lighter colors suggest better quality of the shatter because such color suggests that the product does not contain any undesirable chemicals, fats, and plant waxes, which were not properly processed during the extraction. These impurities known as lipids are removed from shatter by so-called winterizing, which is exposing extract to cryogenic temperatures (lower than -292 degrees Fahrenheit) in a closed system, such method extracts all the active substances from the cannabis. Residual compounds are then removed by heating of the extract for several hours to exactly stated temperature in a vacuum oven.
